Position Summary
CJJC is hiring for a part-time, temporary, non-exempt position. The primary role of the Special Projects Coordinator is to support the Black Tenant Outreach Team in Oakland. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of the Black Tenant Outreach Team and will support the scheduling and planning necessary for the success of contract deliverables. The Special Projects Coordinator will also work closely with members of a community advisory council to ensure that there is consistency, follow-through, and accountability to deadlines and scheduling.
Per the Oakland Contract, an Oakland Housing Secure Community Advisory Council will be created in order to inform partners regarding issues, trends, barriers to access to services for underserved community members, and discussing ideas for providing culturally responsive services and outreach that ensures equitable access to services. The Community Advisory Council will consist of organizers, community members, and members of community-based organizations. Per the Oakland Contract, CJJC will partner with CENTRO to create and implement the Community Advisory Council which will meet no fewer than four (4) times.
The position is remote-only, per shelter-in-place county restrictions on public gathering spaces during the COVID-19 pandemic.
